We
hold two
sessions each day:

Morning
session 8:45am-11:45am

Afternoon
session 12:30-3:00pm

If
your children stay for lunch, the cost is an
extra $5 (children bring their own lunch)
Regular
Attendance Fees
Fees for regular children (those who book in
their sessions at the beginning of each term)
are $9.50 per session.
Accounts
Accounts
are made out to cover a term and are payable in
advance for the number of days you register your
child. If you commence during the term,
you will be billed for the number of weeks left
in the term.
Fours
weeks notice is required when you take your
child out of kindy or are transferring to
another.
Government
family assistance is available for those who
qualify. Please feel free to enquire about
this with kindy supervisor.
Food
Nutritious
morning and afternoon tea snacks are served with
all children sitting down at one time. We
ask families to donate one packet of crackers
and one packet of plain, sweet biscuits per term
for this. Kindergarten provides fruit.
Parent
Help
Parent
help is welcomed, to assist in the supervision
of children, answering the phone and clean-up
duties. Also, a volunteer washing roster is in
operation.
History
of Elim Christian Kindy
Elim
Christian Kindergarten was the first completed
development on the site of the Elim Church
Centre. Tucked away beside the main church
auditorium, the Kindergarten was opened in June
1991.
Mrs
Denise Reddell was instrumental in the
development of the purpose-built
kindergarten. The morning roll in 1991 was
12, and there were 2-3 children in the afternoon
session. Mrs Redell was supported by one
other teacher.
Thirteen
years on, the morning roll is full to capacity
at 45 children, and the afternoon is up to 38. Today,
Sue Botha is the
Supervisor, supported by 5 teachers, 2 teacher
aides, and there is also as
Early Childhood student working with the
children. An average of 20 children stay
for lunch each day.
